Finding Your Greater Yes!

The author defines the “greater yes” as “God's plan plus your potential.” The book is about becoming everything God has created one to be. In other words many people are doing good things and have settled for a level that is below God's best for their life. Often it has been observed that “good is the enemy of the best.” However, God created each individual to be a masterpiece. “For we are God's masterpiece, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do” (Eph 2:10).

The major sections of the book focus on Defining, Discovering, Developing, and Deploying your Greater Yes. The book is made up of thirty-one chapters, each is short, six - eight pages, and ends with questions for reflection and a prayer of commitment. The book will be most effective when used in a men's small group setting however, the lessons apply to women as well.

The author, is a pastor at Lee's Summit Community Church (Kansas City area) and director of People Matter Ministries. His ministry for many years has focused on developing Godly men.

Empowering Men

Men, this if for you.  Six lessons, short, to the point, full of scripture and Spirit anointed.

The six topics covered are:  men of purpose, family, workplace, discipleship, worship, and spiritual warfare.  As the author states: “These studies will take men on an adventure through a pathway of biblical truth and practical application.”

Think of this scene – five to ten men sitting around a table with their Bibles open, looking at the scriptural references cited in the study guide, discussing among themselves the questions at the end of each chapter and then praying together.  Beautiful scene!  This study guide pushes us in that direction.
