October is Clergy Appreciation Month

In observance of Pastor Appreciation Day on October 7, 2007, Women’s and Men’s Ministries are partnering together to provide resources to assist the local church in honoring their pastor.

What is Clergy Appreciation Month?

Clergy Appreciation Month is a special time that congregations set aside each year to honor their pastors and pastoral families for the hard work, sacrificial dedication and multiple blessings provided by these special people. It is typically scheduled in October, but can be held at any time that is convenient for the church and the community. It is also important to remember that appreciation, affirmation and prayer support of our spiritual leaders is appropriate throughout the entire year.

Clergy Appreciation Month Planning Guide

The Clergy Appreciation Month Planning Guide is now available in both English and Spanish. Women’s and Men’s Ministries are indebted to our good friends at Pastoral Ministries at Focus on the Family for this valuable resource that will assist the local church in honoring their pastor in 2007. The planning guide is available in the following ways:

  • Download the PDF files from the website of IPHC Women’s and Men’s Ministries. (English or Spanish)
  • Order a Clergy Appreciation Month Planning Guide from the office of Men’s Ministries. (There will be a minimal charge for printing and shipping costs.)

Please make Pastor Appreciation Day a high priority in 2007. If we can assist you in any way, do not hesitate to contact the offices of Women’s and Men’s Ministries.

“Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in truth and doctrine.” (1 Timothy 5:17)
