We get only one life. God intended for all believers to experience satisfaction and joy by discovering and igniting the potential and passion that He has created within them. While most Christians live a mediocre and melancholy existence, God has so much more to offer. A hurting world is waiting for men, women, churches and organizations to identify and live out their “Greater Yes!”
IPHC Men's Ministries is now booking conferences for 2008. Bill Terry, IPHC Men's Ministries and Dr. Dan Erickson, People Matter Ministries are passionate about men discovering their “Greater Yes.” What is the “Greater Yes?” Simply defined, it's that which propels you to your God-given potential and destiny. The training conference is available in one and two-day formats. In 2007 conferences were conducted in the Pacific Western Conference (140 men in attendance) and Alpha Ministries (70 men in attendance). The North Carolina and Upper South Carolina conferences are on the schedule for 2008. Contact the office of Men's Ministries, (405) 787-7110 ext: 3224 or email men@iphc.org for information about scheduling a conference in your area.
2008 Schedule
The concept of Empowering Men is best modeled by none other than our Lord Jesus Christ and his disciples. When He initially looked at these ordinary guys, He saw more than fishermen, tax collectors, craftsmen, and those in the political arena. Jesus saw their potential and what they could become. He saw them as world changers and in time they would turn the world upside down. (Acts 17:6)
The Empowering Men Training Series is about helping men become all God has destined them to be. In this first training series men will study their purpose and discover God’s intention is for men to become godly leaders and disciples of Jesus Christ. It is my prayer that this training instrument will propel men to step-up and become great leaders, first in the home, then in the church, and ultimately in the world.
This study resource has been designed for use in small groups and Bible studies for men. The discussion questions at the end of each module are intended to assist men in examining their own experiences, building relationships and solidifying friendships.
I gave much thought and prayer in selecting the six areas of study that include purpose, family, the workplace, discipleship, personal worship, and men in war. These studies will take men on an adventure through a pathway of Biblical truth and practical application.
Enjoy the adventure!
